The Chapman family came from Burley, Idaho to Nampa, Idaho in 1920 and settled north of town to farm.
After surviving the hardships and losses of the 1929 depression and the early death of his father, our father
took over the remaining small farm at age 17. The operation expanded and evolved from dairy to beef and row
crop, to sugar beet, seeds and more. Two brothers of the 3rd generation expanded and a seed cleaning business
was added. There has been no 4th generation to expand the farm and it is being engulfed by the city. The farm
is currently leased to neighboring farm operations.
